De mensen die mij en mijn drukke leventje een beetje volgen via instagram hebben gezien dat ik midden juli twee weken heb vertoefd in de heerlijke Franse zon. Al zeven jaar op rij gaan we met ons gezinnetje naar dezelfde gîte in de Provence voor veel zon, veel zwemmen en veel lekker eten (mijn mama is echt waar de beste kok ooit!) Onze dagen in de Provence zien er vrijwel altijd hetzelfde uit: royaal ontbijten - meloen, frans stokbrood en groene thee = the yummmm - gevolgd door een paar uurtjes aan/in het zwembad en daarna een uitstapje naar een van de vele schattige stadjes (mijn favoriet? Vaison la Romaine!) Echt volwaardige outfitfoto's heb ik op reis niet genomen, ik geloof dat het een mix was van tijdsgebrek (op de uitstapjes), bad hair days, meer zin om te zonnen dan te poseren, gebrek aan een goede setting of fotograaf die foto's wou nemen. Don't blame me, blame the sun. Gelukkig had ik 24/24 mijn iphone bij de hand en kan ik zo toch nog een paar foto's met jullie delen :)
Those among you who follow me and my busy life on instagram have probably seen that I spent two weeks at la douce France in July. For over seven years now we go the same gîte in the Provence for a huge amounth of sun, a lot of swimming and yummy food (my mom is the best cook in the world for real!) Our days in the Provence are very similiar: a royal breakfast - melon, french baguette and green tea = the yummmm - followed by several hours in/at the pool and afterwards a trip to one of the cosy little villages (my favourite? Vaison la Romaine!) I was not really able to shoot acceptable outfit pics on our holiday, I guess it was a mix of lack of time (on our trips), bad hair days, feeling more like tanning than posing, lack of a good setting or a photographer who wanted to take the pics. Don't blame me, blame the sun. Fortunately I had my iphone 24/24 with me and can thus still share some holiday pics with you :)
★ the pool essentials: Boutique Minimaliste bracelet, VOGUE magazine, sunnies, Rituals body butter (glitters on tanned legs!), Lush Breath of Fresh Air face cleanser (prevents facial skin from drying out in airco rooms) ★ my pretty baby blue long dress I wore when we got out for dinner and went to a classic open air concert (more pictures here) ★ two of the three most important women in my life (my youngest sister Elodie is the one missing in this pic) ★ working on my tan whilst enjoying the pool (ofcourse they pushed me off the air bed several times :3)
★ good hair day - wild thang! + my new kimono ★ Lac du Paty, an enchanting place, every year we have a delish picnic over there ★ can you spot me amongst all these grapevines? ★ me and my lovely mini me Louise - find her on instagram here ;) - she's the one who takes my pics most of the time!
