NYC is een van mijn favoriete low-budget nagellak merken. Ik heb zo goed als elk kleurtje nagellak dat je je maar kan indenken onder deze naam in mijn kast staan. Tijdens de persdagen echter leerde ik NYC ook op een andere manier kennen. Naast lakjes heeft NYC ook nog een hele makeup collectie, waaronder ook primers. Speciaal voor u testte ik de Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer uit!
De primer belooft een bescherming en mattering van de huid en daar bovenop nog eens een shiney glow om fabulous de dag door te komen. Klinkt veel belovend, niet?

Next to cute polishes, NYC also disposes of a full makeup collection, among which also primers. Especially for you, I tested the Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer!
The primer promises protection and frosting of the skin with a shiney glow on top to get you fabulously through the day. Sounds promising, don't you think?
Mijn vereisten voor een goede primer? Werkt egaliserend, beschermt de huid en houdt de makeup langer/beter vast. Mijn ervaring met de NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer? Hij is vrij dun van textuur, maar smeert goed open en trekt snel in de huid in (hoera want niets is zo vervelend als een dagcrème/primer die lang vettig op de huid blijft liggen!) De primer werkt hydraterend en geeft een gevoel van bescherming. Het is een goede basis om je foundation op aan te brengen, al behoudt hij de makeup niet voor de volle 24h (wat voor deze prijs eigenlijk ook niet kan). Van die shiney glow is jammer genoeg niet zo veel te merken (wat ik persoonlijk net een pluspunt en geen minpunt vind ;o) ) Qua prijs-kwaliteit verhouding kan deze primer alleszins tellen. Budgetbabes, get it while it's hot!
My requirements for a good primer? Works polishing, protects the skin and retains the makeup longer/better. My experience with the NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer? Its texture is rather thin, but spreads out quite well and soiks quickly into the skin (hooray because there is nothing more horrible than an oily substance on the skin that remains greasy for a few minutes!) The primer works hydrating and gives a feeling of protection. This is sure a good base for your foundation, although it does not maintain the makeup for 24h. Unfortunately I did not really perceive the shiney glow (personally this is not really a minus for me, but rather a plus ;o) ) Qua price-quality, this primer sure is a good thing. Budgetbabes, get it while it's hot!
